Handicappers’ Tournament

General Rules

• Contestants must be 21 years of age to enter the tournament and have a Fairmount Park issued Players Card. Sign Up will be available upon entry into the tournament.
• First 100 Contestants to register are eligible for this Handicap Tournament.
• The Buy-In for the tournament is a total of $50 (CASH ONLY) which will be loaded onto your Players Card. These cards will be used to track the winnings to determine the order of finish.
• Players MUST wager all $50 of their bankroll to be eligible for the tournament. If this requirement is not met, the participant will be disqualified from the tournament.
• The wagering type is a $5 Win and $5 Place bet on a horse that totals a $10 wager on any Five (5) Live Races of the customers choosing at Fairmount Park on the day of the contest. Contestants MUST bet on Five (5) separate races.
• Any winnings from the original five (5) bets cannot be used for the tournament. Players can only use their original bankroll of $50.
• Any winnings from the five (5) bets will be placed on the Players Card. However, these winnings cannot be redeemed until the tournament has been completed.
• There are NO separate wagering pools for this tournament. Whatever the Win and Place payouts are for the general public for that particular race will be the same identical payouts to the participants in the tournament.
• The player with the highest Return on Investment (ROI) at the end of the contest wins.
• Only one entry per player is permitted. Multiple submissions will result in all entries being removed.
• Fairmount Park reserves the right to modify or clarify contest rules when necessary to improve contest play. Any rule changes will be communicated and will not affect contests already completed.
• Prizes will be awarded to the top Five (5) contestants. Ties result in the applicable prize positions being combined and split equally among tied players.
